Overview
To support program funding compliance and increase awareness of their Expanded Learning Opportunities Programs (ELO-P), San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools partnered with Hanover Research to create an engaging video that highlighted the programs' benefits and encouraged participation through clear, inclusive messaging.

The video uses storytelling, visuals, and narration to illustrate how ELO-P fosters student growth through enrichment opportunities, project-based learning, and collaboration across schools and communities.

Align colors and fonts with SBCSS branding

With minimal design direction and multiple stakeholders offering differing opinions, I developed two concept mockups to illustrate possible creative approaches. These prototypes guided discussion and feedback, allowing the project to move forward with a unified vision for full production.
An educational-style concept featuring icons, shapes, and supporting text to emphasize key ideas. The design transitions from stylized motion graphics to full-screen video for a dynamic, engaging flow.
Mockup 1

Mockup 2

This concept uses a “push move” to slide video frames on and off screen, allowing multiple clips to appear in a composite format. It highlights the diversity of the programs and is applied selectively at key moments for visual impact.
Technical Skills
Using Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro, I crafted a cohesive, visually engaging video by combining stock footage, motion graphics, and text overlays. I applied transitions, layered content, and color correction to align with the script and highlight key messages, ensuring a polished final product that was both informative and dynamic.

Client Feedback and Revisions

After developing the full-length video, we met with the client and received very positive initial feedback, along with a few requests for adjustments. They asked that some stock footage be updated to better reflect the demographics of their students and teachers and requested the inclusion of interactive and static tools. I added a laptop mock-up to show a teacher navigating the tools, and once these edits were implemented, the client was satisfied with the final video with no further revisions needed.
