Overview
During my time at Hanover Research as an eLearning Developer, I focused on designing, developing, and collaborating on learning courses created for the Educator Learning Center (ELC).

Using Articulate Storyline, I transformed storyboards into engaging, learner-centered experiences enhanced by custom animations, illustrations, and audio created in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Audition. Throughout development, I partnered closely with subject matter experts to ensure each module was accurate, accessible, and aligned with instructional goals.

Storyboard to Learning Experience
Collaboration with subject matter experts (SMEs) was central to transforming complex content into engaging, interactive courses. SMEs used a streamlined storyboard template and the ELC screen inventory I curated to map out the instructional flow and suggest screen types.
I reviewed each storyboard to ensure content alignment, accessibility, and technical feasibility, often recommending interactive approaches that enhanced learner engagement.
In Articulate Storyline, I brought the designs to life using variables, triggers, layers, and custom states to create learner-directed experiences, animated sequences, and gated scenarios.
I also incorporated knowledge checks and quiz interactions, such as multiple response, drag-and-drop, and scenario-based questions, to reinforce learning outcomes and maintain interactivity throughout the course.
Custom Asset Development
Vector Images
To create visually cohesive and engaging courses, I customized vector illustrations in Adobe Illustrator to align with each module’s context and learning objectives.
When assets weren’t available through our stock library, such as specific math manipulatives or processing strategies, I created or modified images to maintain a consistent visual style and ensure instructional accuracy.

These assets helped simplify abstract concepts and provided visual continuity across the Educator Learning Center catalog.
AI-Generated Narration
For audio narration, I used WellSaid, an AI voice generation platform, to produce clear, natural-sounding voiceovers.
I refined text-to-speech scripts for emphasis, pacing, and pronunciation, then edited the audio in Adobe Audition to balance tone, clarity, and timing for seamless integration in Articulate Storyline.

Supporting Resources

Each module in the Educator Learning Center was accompanied by a downloadable PDF resource designed to extend learning beyond the course.
I redesigned the look and feel of these materials to align with the updated module style, creating a cohesive visual identity across all ELC content. To streamline future development, I created Word templates for consistent formatting and easy adaptation by the instructional design team.
Using graphics and visual elements from each course, I applied layout and design principles to transform static information into visually engaging tools. These resources were then converted into fillable PDFs, allowing educators to complete activities and reflections electronically for greater accessibility and classroom integration.
Interaction in Action
Throughout development, I created custom and innovative screens in response to specific content needs.
These new layouts were then added to the ELC’s shared screen inventory for future use, expanding our library of interactive options and promoting design consistency across modules.

Evaluation and Feedback
Feedback from educators and learners informed ongoing improvements to the Educator Learning Center experience. While formal user feedback was limited, responses consistently noted the modules’ clarity, pacing, and visual appeal.
Based on participant input, our team began incorporating short videos into future courses to illustrate real-world applications and enhance learner engagement. This iterative approach supported the continued growth and relevance of the ELC’s professional learning offerings.
